Eric Jones, Chief Executive Officer

Eric Jones has a broad background in engineering and software development and leads Enthought's product engineering and software design. Prior to co-founding Enthought, Eric worked in the fields of numerical electromagnetics and genetic optimization in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Duke University. He has taught numerous courses about Python and how to use it for scientific computing. He also serves as a member of the Python Software Foundation. Eric holds M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Duke University in Electrical Engineering and a B.S.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Baylor University.

Travis Oliphant, President

Travis Oliphant has worked extensively with Python for numerical and scientific programming for over 10 years. He is the primary developer of the NumPy package and the author of the definitive Guide to NumPy. He was an early contributor to the documentation for the Numeric package and was one of the original authors of the SciPy package. He has a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the Mayo Clinic. He was an Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Brigham Young University from 2001 to 2007, and directed the BYU Biomedical Imaging Lab.

Travis Vaught, Chief Financial Officer, Chief of Marketing

Travis Vaught oversees Enthought's fiscal and marketing strategies. He began his professional career in the construction industry and then established Vaught Consulting, an independent software consultancy, in 1995. Travis, with Eric Jones, is one of Enthought's founders. He holds a B.S.E. in Electrical Engineering from Baylor University.

David Peterson, Director of Software Engineering

Dave Peterson has over 15 years of experience in software development and technology consulting, including project management, business analysis, architecture and design, and software development processes and methodologies. Prior to Enthought, Dave worked as Manager of Services at Troux Technologies, a venture-backed provider of IT governance solutions to the Fortune 1000. Prior to Troux, Dave held Project Manager and Senior Consultant roles at Trilogy Software, an enterprise software firm addressing the most complex problems of the Fortune 500. He also was a founding principal of Xyntera, Inc., an Internet consulting and consumer products company. Dave holds a B.S. in Physics from the California Institute of Technology.

Peter Wang, Director of Technical Architecture

Applying his extensive experience in software engineering and development, Peter Wang directs the overall architectural design of our frameworks and tools. He holds a B.S. in Physics from Cornell University
