Eric Jones

Eric Jones

Chief Executive Officer

Eric has a broad background in engineering and software development and leads Enthought's product engineering and software design. Prior to co-founding Enthought, Eric worked with numerical electromagnetics and genetic optimization in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Duke University. He has taught numerous courses on the use of Python for scientific computing and serves as a member of the Python Software Foundation. He holds M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Duke University in Electrical Engineering and a B.S.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Baylor University.

Travis E. Oliphant

Travis Oliphant

President

Travis has worked extensively with Python for numerical and scientific programming since 1997. He was the primary developer of the NumPy package and the author of the definitive Guide to NumPy. He was an early contributor to the documentation for the Numeric package and in 1999 released Multipack for Python. In 2001, he folded Multipack into SciPy as one of the original co-authors of that package. He holds B.S. and M.S. degrees from Brigham Young University in Math and Electrical Engineering, and he received a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the Mayo Clinic in 2001. From December 2000 to August 2007 he worked as an Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Brigham Young University where he also directed the Biomedical Imaging Lab and taught courses in inverse problems, signal processing, probability theory, and electromagnetics.

Amenity manages various aspects of Enthought's branding, training materials, and online media. Her background includes a range of positions including graphic design, art education, and academic research. She holds a B.A. in Geography and Anthropology from the University of Texas and an Erasmus Mundus M.S. in Geospatial Technology.


Matt Harward

Matt Harward

Customer Representative, US

Matt Harward has extensive experience managing sales efforts and teams as well as building strategic business relationships within the software community. Prior to Enthought Matt founded and sold his own software training company and has managed territory sales efforts in the legal, manufacturing, government, and education sectors over the past 16 years. He holds a B.A. in Spanish with a focus in International Business from Brigham Young University.

Jodi Havranek

Jodi Havranek

Accountant

Jodi manages accounting and human resources at Enthought. She received her B.A. in Political Economy of Industrial Societies from U.C. Berkeley. Jodi then worked as a CPA with Deloitte and Touche and a Division Controller at Restoration Hardware. After her daughters were born, she transitioned to part-time work with small businesses and joined our team in 2005.


Leah Jones

Director of Operations

Leah Jones joined the staff at Enthought in 2001, and she handles many of the day to day tasks of office administration. If you call the office, she will probably answer the phone. Leah graduated with BA in Biology and English from Baylor University.


Didrik Pinte

Didrik Pinte

Customer Representative, Europe

Didrik Pinte brings us his broad experience in data management and software development. Prior to working with Enthought, Didrik ran his own company providing data management solutions in the environmental sector. He also worked as a research assistant during 4 years at Catholic University of Louvain (UCL) in Belgium. His research there focused on the development of integrated water resource management applications with Python. Didrik holds a M.S. degree from UCL in Agricultural Engineering as well as a M.S degree from UCL in Management.

Peter Wang

Peter Wang

Director of Technical Architecture

Applying his extensive experience in software engineering and development, Peter Wang directs the overall architectural design of our frameworks and tools. He holds a B.S. in Physics from Cornell University. Peter has contributed substantially to the open-source Enthought Tool Suite, notably as the author and maintainer of Chaco, a 2D plotting library.
