Eric Jones
Chief Executive Officer
Eric has a broad background in engineering and software development and leads Enthought's product engineering and software design. Prior to co-founding Enthought, Eric worked with numerical electromagnetics and genetic optimization in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Duke University. He has taught numerous courses on the use of Python for scientific computing and serves as a member of the Python Software Foundation. He holds M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Duke University in electrical engineering and a B.S.E. in mechanical engineering from Baylor University.
Bill Cowan
Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer
Bill brings a broad background of experience to Enthought in operations and finance ranging from start-ups to public companies. He was a co-founder of an e-health company that developed innovative approaches for utilizing web-based technology to improve chronic disease management. Bill has served as a senior operating executive and CFO of two publicly-traded companies. Earlier in his career he held operations and finance roles with two of the nation’s leading healthcare delivery systems. Bill is a co-inventor of two technology patents and is also Chairman and CEO of SMM Capital Partners. He received an M.B.A. and M.H.S.A. from The University of Michigan, and a B.A. in economics from St. Lawrence University.
Amenity Applewhite
Creative Assistant
Amenity manages various aspects of Enthought's branding, training materials, and online media. Her background includes a range of positions, among them graphic design, art education, and academic research. She holds a B.A. in geography and anthropology from the University of Texas and an Erasmus Mundus M.S. in geospatial technology.
Damian Campbell
Director of Business Development, Europe
Damian brings 20 years experience of managing international sales and marketing operations at board level in several High-Tech companies. In his early career he spent 15 years with Schlumberger in the UK and France, initially in development engineering and later in product marketing and sales. He has since worked with other blue chip firms both UK- and USA-based operating in the scientific and technical sectors. He holds a B.S. Honours degree in electronic engineering from Edinburgh University and a business qualification from INSEAD.
Matt Harward
Director of Sales, North America
Matt Harward has extensive experience managing sales efforts and teams as well as building strategic business relationships within the software community. Prior to Enthought Matt founded and sold his own software training company and has managed territory sales efforts in the legal, manufacturing, government, and education sectors over the past 16 years. He holds a B.A. in Spanish with a focus in international business from Brigham Young University.
Jodi Havranek
Accountant
Jodi manages accounting and human resources at Enthought. She received her B.A. in political economy of industrial societies from U.C. Berkeley. Jodi then worked as a CPA with Deloitte and Touche and a Division Controller at Restoration Hardware. After her daughters were born, she transitioned to part-time work with small businesses and joined our team in 2005.
Leah Jones
Director of Operations
Leah Jones joined the staff at Enthought in 2001, and she handles many of the day to day tasks of office administration. If you call the office, she will probably answer the phone. Leah graduated with B.A. in biology and English from Baylor University.
Didrik Pinte
Managing Director, Europe
Didrik Pinte brings us his broad experience in data management and software development. Prior to working with Enthought, Didrik ran his own company providing data management solutions in the environmental sector. He also worked as a research assistant during 4 years at Catholic University of Louvain (UCL) in Belgium. His research there focused on the development of integrated water resource management applications with Python. Didrik holds a M.S. degree from UCL in agricultural engineering as well as a M.S. degree from UCL in management.
Prabhu Ramachandran
Managing Director, India
Prabhu Ramachandran has been a faculty member at the Department of Aerospace Engineering, IIT Bombay, since 2005. His research interests are primarily in particle methods and applied scientific computing. He has been active in the FOSS community for more than a decade. He co-founded the Chennai Linux User Group in 1998 and is the creator, and lead developer of Mayavi. He has contributed to the Python wrappers of the Visualization Toolkit. Prabhu has a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from IIT Madras. He is an active member of the SciPy community as well as a member the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics and a nominated member of the Python Software Foundation.
