SciPy

SciPy is an open source library of scientific tools for Python, sponsored by Enthought. Eric Jones, Enthought's CEO, and Travis Oliphant, Enthought's president, were 2 of the original authors of SciPy, which now is supported by a thriving community of users and developers. SciPy supplements the popular NumPy module, gathering a variety of high level science and engineering modules together as a single package. It includes modules for optimization, integration, special functions, signal and image processing, genetic algorithms, and ODE solvers.

SciPy is also the name of a conference on scientific computing in Python that is sponsored by Enthought and the Center for Advanced Computing Research, and is held annually on the CalTech campus.
