Dabrick combined his interest in programming and chemistry in his Ph.D. research at the University of Southern California, focusing his research on computer simulations of peptide/protein interaction, concurrently completing an M.S. in Computer Science with a focus on scientific computation.
Prior to working at Enthought, he was the principal software architect for AARDVARC, a software tool to streamline and centralize syllabus generation and data collection in academic departments, and is one of the founding members of Acadoinformatics. Algorithms used in the computational chemistry research that earned his PhD have been published in the Journal of Computational Physics.
Dabrick is an avid dancer (his favorite style is cumbia) and also enjoys cooking, hosting dinner parties, Spanish-language cinema, and literature.
