Jenni holds a Ph.D. in solid state and computational physics from Michigan State University and a M.S. and B.S. in solid state physics from the University of Milan Bicocca.
She combines a background in software development and high performance computing with a long standing interest in bioinformatics. At Enthought, Jenni has taken the lead in developing numerous Life Science-focused computational solutions, ranging from next generation sequencing to microbiome genomics and lab transformation. In her past life, she worked in academia on modeling and optimizing a novel type of electron microscope.
Jenni’s current interests include converting old Fortran code to Python, cooking, knitting, and playing board and role playing games. She has strong opinions about how to make the perfect cup of coffee, and her bucket list includes traveling on the Orient Express.
