Jordan holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in nuclear engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and a B.S. in physics from Louisiana State University.
Prior to joining Enthought, he worked in Washington, D.C. as a program scientist and science fellow for one of the nation’s largest environmental NGOs, the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC). His graduate research involved using Python to improve spectrometry-based detection systems for environmental radionuclide monitoring within the context of nuclear weapons test ban treaty verification.
Among his many interests, Jordan enjoys cooking with his family, writing noisy music with friends, watching weird cinema, and using Python for generative art projects.
