Kevin holds a PhD and an MPhil in Scientific Computing from the University of Cambridge and an MPhys in Theoretical Physics from the University of York. His background is in condensed matter theory, high performance computing.
Before joining Enthought, his research involved extending the functionality of a parallel first-principles quantum chemistry package to predict energy barriers in chemical reactions and surface diffusion problems, with a focus on processes relevant to industrial gas-to-liquid reactors.
In his spare time, Kevin enjoys game development, cycling, and playing board games and tabletop RPGs.
