Scott holds a Ph.D., M.S. and B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. Scott’s experience and expertise span both the semiconductor and software industries. His graduate work focused on the crystal growth, characterization, and development of novel compound semiconductor materials and device, and he developed several custom software tools and simulators to facilitate and accelerate his experimental work.
After working as a Process Engineer at Intel’s R&D fab in Oregon, developing new and improved semiconductor manufacturing processes for future process nodes, he went on to found a software company developing web-based multiplayer games, prior to joining Enthought.
In his free time, when he’s not contributing to the open source software movement, Scott enjoys hiking, biking, yoga, and playing tennis, piano, and guitar.
