Enthought Live Training Information

Enthought courses are hands-on affairs with 15-30 minute lectures, interleaved with programming exercises typically done within the IPython interpreter shell. The exercises provide practical experience with the tools for real-world problems. Upon completion, students will be comfortable building computational models and analyzing data at the Python command prompt as well as writing scripts to automate their computational tasks.

Group Discounts

We provide multi-attendee discounts for 3 or more students registering together. If you have more than 5 students interested in a course, you might consider an onsite course at your location. Please contact us at info@enthought.com for available dates and pricing.

Payment & Policy

Enthought accepts payment by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or American Express) or company check. Until a form of payment is received, the student’s space in the course cannot be guaranteed. Payment must be received in full prior to the start date of the course.

Training attendees may cancel or reschedule their class participation at any time subject to the following conditions:

  1. Cancellation or reschedule more than 14 days prior to the class start date may be done at no charge.
  2. Cancellation or reschedule between 14 and 8 days prior to the class start date will incur a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the Training Fee.
  3. Cancellation or reschedule less than 8 days prior to the class start date will incur a cancellation fee equal to 80% of the Training Fee.

Student substitutions are accepted at any time.

In the unlikely event that we must cancel the course for any reason, we will provide a 100% refund of your payment.

Software/Hardware Requirements

Students should bring a laptop (Windows, Linux, or Mac OS X) pre-loaded with Enthought Canopy (download Canopy here). Canopy provides a convenient, universal, cross-platform way to set up Python, the core Python libraries used in the class, and an interactive development environment with a single-click installer. While we highly encourage students use Canopy for consistency in the class, students may also use alternative Python distributions that provide the required packages.

Print Materials

Enthought provides a hard copy of the slides used in the class, for reference purposes, as well as exercises, solutions, homework, and other handouts. Exercises and solutions are in the form of electronic Python files, which students can modify to develop their own solutions.
