Vaibhav Palkar
Scientific Software Developer
Vaibhav holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Clemson University and a B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology.
He is passionate about the field of Materials Informatics and enjoys helping subject matter experts in the chemistry and materials science domains by providing software solutions. Vaibhav’s dissertation work involved mesoscale computational modeling and simulation of degradation processes in polymeric materials. While pursuing his Ph.D., Vaibhav contributed code to the open-source LAMMPS simulation package, which piqued his interest in scientific software development.
In his free time Vaibhav enjoys reading, going on hikes, and exploring local restaurants.
